Nirmal Kumar Ganguly, M.D was formerly a Distinguished Biotechnology Research Professor, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. He was formerly President of the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), as well as that of the Asian Institute of Public Health, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. He is the former Director General, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi; former Director, PGIMER (Chandigarh); and former Director, National Institute of Biologicals (Noida).
Munawer Khwaja is a fiscal economist with 40 years’ international experience in a range of governance, tax policy and tax administration reforms in around 80 countries. Currently works as short-term fiscal advisor for the IMF, World Bank, UNDP, US Treasury, and Asian Development Bank. Earlier worked for many years in staff positions at the IMF, World Bank, Harvard University, and KPMG Consulting. Served as resident fiscal advisor for eight years in Ukraine, Kosovo and Afghanistan. Prior to this, he was Director of Tax Policy in the Ministry of Finance of the Government of India. Munawer holds a D.E.S.S in Fiscal Administration from the Université de Paris-Dauphine (Paris Sorbonne IX), a Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard University, and LL.B. from Delhi University. Delivered lectures on development topics at Harvard, Oxford, Duke, and international fora.
